Blog EntryPicture Perfect ~ Around The WorldJan 25, '08 5:44 PM
for everyone

The idea of this week's theme is that you look around you and snap a photo of something that is Unique to your part of the world. Look at your world through the eyes of those of us in other lands.

Every part of the world is unique, whether you live in an isolated village in Africa or big city suburbia in America. What you think is common may well be very peculiar to someone on the other end of the globe - or even in the next town, so have fun with this!

The theme this week is:

'Around the world'

Here is the link to take you there.http://fotofriday.multiply.com/

This was a hard decision for me this week there was so much I wanted to show but seeing you can only show one picture, I decided on something that is "unique" here, it is the peat moss bogs that turn a brilliant red in the fall, I have never seen anything like it, it is so beautiful and it is dotted with hundreds of lakes some so tiny and some pretty big ones, this is where the Canada Geese and the ducks stop by on their way south for the winter, they seem to stop here for a rest, and I love hearing a flock of Canada geese honking as they fly overhead. I live in the Maritimes, Eastern Canada, New Brunswick on a small island. Miscou Island

Wow! Sharon that is spectacular! I have been to your Province only once, and I was stunned by its incredible beauty. How wonderful that you get to live in such a gorgeous place. I've never seen this though, or heard about it, and it is absolutely breathtaking. It makes me really want to visit there again. Thanks for sharing your part of the world. I think this is my favourite of all of the Picture Perfect themes. It really feels like we are taking a world tour! Have a great weekend. Big hugs!

I can't lay claim to having been to New Brunswick, but I've been to eastern Canada, and it is truly a majestic and beautiful place, indeed.

There are so many amazing things to see around the world. I have never been to Canada but my husband lived there for a while and he has always told me how beautiful it is. Just looking at those colours is food for the soul. It makes me think of lots of small crimson Azaleas spread on the peat moss bog. Very beautiful Sharon and the photos you share of your world are awesome.
