for everyone

Well there was a little more to it than the picture but somehow it didn't appear, I just noticed that now lol it only adds to my day.

I was sitting here in my pj's this morning before breakfast planning my day and what I was going to clean, when my husband decided we needed to get all our errands done before lobster fishing starts in a week and a half, so I dashed off to get ready and grabbed some toast and peanut butter and a banana to eat in the car, oh and before I downed a glass of milk.

So off we went, first stop the doctors office to get some prescriptions written that will last us a few months till fishing is over, I walked in and thought great not a lot of people , this will be done quickly......wrongggggggg, you see my doctor is a chatty lady and she loves to go off into her office and have a good long chat, I sat there and waited for almost an hour and a half(and remember the milk I drank, for some reason my tummy always starts to rumble very loud when I drink it and I had downed it, and sure enough it started to make these awful noises , I thought is that coming from me and it was me   how embarrassing ) before finally the patient left and she filled out my prescriptions. Then it was off to the store where my husband was getting some metal cut and purchasing other stuff for the boat, got there just as they closed the doors for lunch, here almost half of the stores close at noon. So we went to grab some lunch which was great with me , I had chicken florentine, which was so delicious and he had spagetti with meat sauce. The place was full it is a motel that has an excellent restaurant that all the business people like to go to and you have to get there just before noon because it fills up quickly.

Then it was back to the metal shop for more waiting, then the accountants, where we paid him a lot of money for doing our taxes, to have him tell us we are both paying   then on to the pharmacy, then to the radio/t.v. shop for antennas for Leo , you know just the kind of a store that a woman loves .....nottttttt !!!  I can't remember how many more but finally home and made dinner and put everything away , went to the harbour and watched the tugboat break up the ice that is jammed in the harbour , the big government hovercraft that usually comes and breaks up the ice is broken, so I dont know what they are going to do this year, doesn't look good because the temperatures were warm now they are back to cool, so nothing is melting . It is always a worrying time when the men go out to fish and there is ice because it can jam the harbour and they are stuck outside and can't get in, it's wise to bring lots of food etc.

Now I am off to watch American Idol Show, and hoping that this blog is going to take because it's the second time I am doing it , I keep getting signed out and I did clean my cookies, temp. files and cache , so keeping my fingers crossed !!!

Your lunch sounds yummy! How much snow do you have left now? Your photos this winter were just amazing. Yes seems like we get days like that and you wonder where the time goes.

LOL....yep a lot more to it. Your life sounds so different up there. And I just heard on the TV that people in rural areas like us don't live as long as we don't get goo d medical service. LOL. Thought might give you a kick after what you have been through.

Yeah.. it makes way more sense.. I have had those kinds of days too.
ITs funny or not so funny depends on how you look at it.. how the men decide something has to be done right now... and you have to go along even if its not something they really need you there for..hehe What to do except go along and smile and make the best of it all.

Glad its done and maybe you can relax.. I hope they get that bay cleaned out before he has to go out.. Good fishing to him!

Oooooooooooooh don't you just hate those days where everyone keeps you waiting and nothing goes according to plan!!!! It's bizarre you are talking about ice still clogging up your harbour and not melting when we are deal with nasty Shamal's and temperatures well on their way to the 40 plus mark!

What a day! Hope you caught your breath during American Idol. Oh dear, it seems your doctor overbooks...if he must let people talk and talk, he needs to book longer appointments and not see as many people. It is awful to be stuck like that. I was surprised you still have ice in the harbour. Lake Ontario is free of it now...not sure about Lake Huron after hearing you have ice. Hope hubby gets home safely...wishing you warm sunny days.

My doctor is a she, there were only 2 others when I got there , she is so nice but , she loves to gab, it's ok when it is you in the office lol but when you are waiting for an hour and a half it's not so much fun, I think a Doctor that spends time with their patients talking about their medical problems is wonderful but when it is talking about all kinds of other topics it's a bit of a lack of respect for the others waiting. Oh well not much I can do because there arent a lot to pick from here and she is a good doctor.

Sam has the same problem with his doctor. Waits for an hour but when he gets in, it is like old home week, catching up on the events since last visit. He says the same as you, when it is your turn you don't mind but it is really not nice for those waiting. This visit was the first since we left 7 months ago and he told him to shave his beard and change his hair as he looked too old so he shaved the beard and everyone likes it. Now I have to find him a good stylist to change his hair style. Perfect example of not medical conversation.
